AI-powered topic analysis
One of the most powerful things you can do with Makemi is have it tell you which topics are performing best for you and your competitors.
Previously, you had to explicitly tell Makemi what topics to look for so that it could include these in its performance analysis. On top of that, you had to define each topic in sufficient detail so that Makemi could understand how to interpret each topic and apply the appropriate categorizations in its analysis.
This topic identification step wasn’t always easy to do manually, given you might not be completely familiar with a competitor’s content. Thankfully, Makemi can now take care of this entire process for you: it will ingest all the posts covered by the report, and identify the most common topics discussed by your organization and its competitors.

One of the most powerful Makemi features is its ability to analyze performance by topic. Makemi can now auto-identify the best-performing topics, and recommend actions to improve your overall performance.
Email confirmation to approve topics
Are you worried that Makemi might come up with topics you don’t want to show in your report? Don’t worry! Makemi will always ask you to confirm the list of suggested categories for its analysis.
How it works
- 1Once Makemi has finished ingesting all posts (could be several thousand!), it will do a quick analysis of the content looking for common topics.
- 2
It will then send you an email with the list of topics (and definitions) it has identified.
- 3
From the email, you can approve the list directly and Makemi will immediately proceed with its full performance analysis.
- 4
If you want to make changes to the list of topics first, or you can click through to the draft report and edit the categories and definitions before Makemi does its performance analysis.

When Makemi is done auto-identifying most common topics, it sends you an email to approve or edit the list of categories and definitions.
This this new features saves you oodles of time and ensures your report includes all the important topics your manual specification might accidentally leave out.
You can always choose to provide the list of topics from scratch if you prefer to manually specify them yourself.
